What topics are covered during the Lake Learning Tour? There’s so much to learn about the incredible natural resources within the Elk-River Chain of Lakes Watershed, including: -How the lakes, wetlands, streams and surrounding hillsides were formed by glaciers -The chemistry of the water -The biology of the plants and animals -The ecology of how all the parts work together -Community partners and political forces at work within the watershed -The life cycle of swimmer’s itch and how to prevent it -Shoreline health -Various projects that ESLA has and how you can get involved! *The curriculum varies each week and can be tailored to the interests of the participants - we encourage questions!
