Each summer, our lake association hosts a series of engaging two-hour Lake Learning Tours led by our biologist, Samantha. These interactive outings offer residents and visitors a chance to explore the lake firsthand while learning about its unique ecosystem. Samantha shares her expertise on a range of topics including basic lake ecology, plankton sampling, local geology, loon behavior, aquatic plant identification, invasive species awareness, and the importance of maintaining healthy shorelines. These tours are a valuable opportunity to connect with the lake, gain a deeper understanding of its natural processes, and learn how we can all contribute to its long-term health and sustainability.
